BAR MANAGER – £10ph – MIN 20HRS/WEEK

Big Red Bus Bar are looking for an exceptional bar manager to work with us at a wide range of festivals, events, weddings and parties across the South West and Nationwide.

Specialising in supplying stunning classic vehicle bars, as well as festival-style marquee bars, to a huge variety of different events throughout the year, we have a strong focus on serving the best quality, locally-produced beers, lagers and ciders, alongside a full bar range, whilst consistently delivering incredible customer service.

Being an events-based business, the hours will predominantly be over evenings and weekends; however further hours will be available according to weekly demand.

Essential skills/attributes:
– Aged 25+ (for insurance purposes)
– Full UK Driving Licence
– Experience of supervising/managing staff.
– A good general knowledge about beers, wines and spirits.
– A strong work ethic.
– The ability to deliver consistently high levels of customer service, especially when under pressure.
– Physically fit – the role involves standing up for long periods of time and moving heavy stock items, including barrels.

Desirable skills/attributes:
– Festival/event bar experience.
– Personal Licence holder.
– Food Hygiene certificate.

Interviews will take place in early March, with the role commencing from April. The initial contract term will run until late September, however for the right candidate this may be extended to permanent.

PLEASE NOTE: You will initially be working on a self-employed basis, paid weekly by BACS, and will be responsible for paying your own tax/NI contributions directly to HMRC.
